Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper has appointed Chris McElroy, Broker Associate/Partner with The Group, Inc. Real Estate to the Colorado Real Estate Commission. Hickenlooper said, “As a member of this important board, McElroy becomes a vital part of moving Colorado forward and seeing that it continues to be the best place in the country to live and raise a family.”
This prestigious appointment is for a 3-year term and has the responsibility with two other commissioners for the oversight of over 40,000 real estate agents in Colorado.
McElroy has over 35 years of experience in residential real estate sales in Northern Colorado. He has a long history of service to the local, state and national Realtor® associations. He was the President of the Colorado Association of Realtors® in 1994 and was recognized as the 2000 Colorado Realtor® of the Year. He has served on the National Association of Realtors® Board of Directors since 1993, and was named NAR’s Home Town Hero in 2002. He served as a NAR Regional Vice-President in 2007 and was honored as the 20008 NAR President-Elect Nominee.
